Two houses burned in a fire that broke out in Veles

A fire incident occurred in Veles today, impacting both occupied houses and vacant properties within the municipality. According to Marko Kolev, Mayor of the Municipality of Veles, the spread of the active fire, which originated in the Trite area, was successfully contained this afternoon due to the prompt and rapid response efforts. Mayor Kolev acknowledged the damage caused by the blaze, stating his regret over the losses sustained.

He issued statements of gratitude recognizing the efforts of various groups instrumental in controlling the situation. Specific thanks were extended to the Fire and Rescue Service of Veles, which deployed a team of 16 firefighters. Furthermore, recognition was given to the company “Uni Agro” for its contribution of machinery, citing their commitment to social responsibility.
