Two Macedonian nationals, wanted for murder and associated with criminal organizations, are arrested in Durrës

The international law enforcement operation, codenamed “Fury,” concluded in Durrës with the apprehension of two individuals deemed to pose a high social risk. These men were sought by the authorities of North Macedonia in connection with a series of serious criminal allegations. The operation represented a significant multinational effort, involving the Directorate of Special Operational Forces within the Department of Criminal Police at the General Directorate of State Police.

This domestic effort was executed in close cooperation with local police services in Durrës. Furthermore, international support was provided by American partners from the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) stationed at the US embassies in Tirana and Skopje, alongside specialized counterparts from Macedonian law enforcement agencies. The two individuals taken into custody have been identified as M.

Xh., aged 26, who was born in Skopje, and S. N., aged 34, who was born in Norway. Both suspects were the subject of international arrest warrants issued by INTERPOL.

The warrants relate to serious criminal charges, indicating that the scope of the investigation covered multiple offenses spanning international borders. The successful execution of the operation underscores the collaborative capacity of international police organizations to address transnational criminal networks. The joint efforts of the various police bodies allowed authorities to locate and detain the two persons of interest.
