The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Skopje has commenced legal proceedings against an individual accused of “Endangering Safety,” citing Article 144, paragraph 3, of the Penal Code. These actions are connected to allegations detailed under the Penal Code’s provisions regarding domestic abuse. According to statements released by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the 56-year-old suspect is alleged to have subjected his wife and their two children, aged 18 and 15, to sustained periods of psychological and physical abuse.
The family reportedly refrained from filing a report previously due to fear. The situation reportedly escalated when the 15-year-old daughter, unable to withstand the continuous threats, insults, and pressure from her father, attempted to take her own life. In addition to the proceedings against the primary suspect, an investigation has also been initiated in Skopje.
This secondary inquiry targets a 33-year-old man, who is accused of committing physical violence against the wife. The initiation of these cases highlights serious allegations of domestic instability. The legal authorities are now overseeing the investigation into the alleged abuse, ensuring that the facts are thoroughly examined within the framework of the public justice system.
Both cases underscore the gravity of the accusations concerning the safety and well-being of the family members involved.
