Two women, citizens of North Macedonia, were apprehended in Montenegro following their suspected involvement in the theft of four gold necklaces from a jewelry store in Igalo. Montenegrin police confirmed the arrests and reported that the stolen jewelry was recovered during the operation and subsequently returned to the store’s owners. The Security Department in Herceg Novi announced the detentions of two individuals, identified as Zh.C.T.
(55) and A.R. (33), both nationals of North Macedonia. The women were taken into custody on suspicion of committing the crime of theft.
According to the investigation details, the incident occurred on February 15th, at approximately 1:30 PM. The two women entered a local jewelry store in Igalo, presenting themselves as interested patrons. They requested that an employee display various gold jewelry items for viewing.
It is suspected that the women capitalized on a moment of inattention from the staff to execute the theft of the items. The police operation successfully led to the recovery of the stolen merchandise, ensuring its safe return to the rightful owners.
