Two separate incidents of serious theft were reported on October 20 in the municipalities of Istog and Peja. The Kosovo Police have launched comprehensive investigations to identify the individuals responsible for the crimes. According to the police’s 24-hour report, the first incident occurred in the village of Sinë within Istog around 02:12.
Authorities reported that unknown individuals gained entry to a premises and attempted to open a safe before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. A case of serious theft has been initiated in consultation with the competent prosecutor, and investigations into this matter remain active. Separately, the second incident took place in Peja on “Queen Teutë” street near 22:30.
The complainant stated that unknown persons entered his residence and stole multiple items, including ready cash, a gold chair, and equipment belonging to a DVR security camera system. Police sources confirmed that these two incidents represent the primary reports of theft for the day. Authorities emphasized that dedicated efforts are underway to gather evidence and apprehend the suspects involved in both robberies.
The investigation into the theft in Istog and the theft in Peja are proceeding independently, with law enforcement continuing to process witness statements and secure any relevant forensic evidence.
