White House spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, stated that President Donald Trump believes NATO was tested and unsuccessful in its response to the situation. Leavitt indicated that the possibility of the United States withdrawing from NATO is being considered.
She confirmed that the President has discussed the matter and will soon engage in a direct conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. “The President has discussed this,” Leavitt said. “And I believe it is something the President will discuss in a few hours with Secretary General Rutte.
