UEFA has released the latest rulings from its Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), confirming that the Kosovar football club Ballkani has been sanctioned for outstanding financial debts. According to an official notice issued by UEFA, the club has been formally fined €200,000. This penalty stems from unresolved financial obligations owed to various entities, including other clubs, employees, and relevant tax and social authorities, pertaining to the 2025/26 season.
Beyond the monetary penalty, the club based in Suhareka has also received a significant warning from UEFA. The sanctioning body cited serious circumstances contributing to this action, specifically citing repeated violations and delays in fulfilling obligations that have surpassed the ninety-day mark. Consequently, Ballkani has been issued a suspended measure of exclusion from participation in UEFA European competitions.
This ruling implies that the club may be barred from taking part in any UEFA tournament for which it otherwise qualifies. The CFCB’s decision underscores UEFA’s ongoing enforcement of financial regulations among its member clubs. The imposed fine and the exclusion measure represent serious consequences designed to ensure financial compliance across the continent.
The sanctions serve as a directive for all affiliated clubs to address outstanding debts promptly to avoid similar punitive actions from UEFA authorities in the future.
