The Ukrainian authorities are demanding that the company that produces strategic weapons in Russia be shut down

Ukrainian drones targeted two major Russian chemical factories in the industrial city of Tolyatti, located in the Samara region, resulting in significant fires and thick plumes of smoke observed in the night sky. Local officials and media sources reported the attacks. The targeted facilities were Tolyattikauchuk and KuibyshevAzot, situated close to each other within the city’s industrial zone.

Online images depicted flames and dark smoke, while residents reported explosions and the activation of air raid sirens in the area. Tolyattikauchuk is a key company in the Russian petrochemical industry, specializing in the production of synthetic rubber and chemical compounds used in the manufacturing of tires and other industrial products. KuibyshevAzot is a chemical company.

The exact nature of the drone strikes and the extent of the damage are currently under investigation. Authorities are working to assess the situation and manage the resulting smoke and potential hazards.
