Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces executed long-range strikes against multiple strategic targets within Russian territory during the preceding night. These strikes reportedly occurred at distances exceeding 1,300 kilometers from the active front lines. According to Zelensky, among the facilities targeted was the Bashneft-Novoyl oil refinery located in the Bashkortostan region.
Furthermore, he reported that the Slavneft-YANOS refinery, situated in the Yaroslavl region, was also struck. This particular facility is noted as being approximately 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. In addition to these land-based operations, the Ukrainian President stated that two Russian naval patrol vessels were hit in the Black Sea during the operation.
Kyiv also claimed that vessels belonging to the so-called “shadow fleet”—a group Russia utilizes for oil transport despite international sanctions—were among those struck. As of the time of this report, Russian authorities have not issued any confirmation regarding these strikes. The announcements detail a significant escalation of long-range military action by Ukrainian forces against key infrastructure and naval assets within Russian-controlled areas.
