According to the Ukrainian army, this achievement doubled the previous national record, which stood at 44 drones. The operation, which tracked the hostile drones throughout the day, commenced in the early morning hours and concluded in the late afternoon.
The first of the 61 drones was intercepted at 04:10, and the final one was downed at 21:47. This sustained effort resulted in an average interception rate of one drone every 17.5 minutes for the crew. The reported success significantly raises the benchmark for anti-drone operations across Ukrainian defense forces.
