Iranian media has reported that American presidents conducted strikes on the island of Qeshm in Iran. Furthermore, a U.S. official cited by Reuters indicated that American forces are carrying out several additional strikes targeting military assets within Iran.
This official stated that the objective of these recent strikes was the “elimination of new threats.”
Following these reports, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement asserting that it had detected enemy weaponry in Bahrain and Kuwait. The IRGC also cautioned that the U.S. strikes would only delay the resumption of normal traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the IRGC’s statement, no oil point would leave the region due to the ongoing strikes. A media report further indicated that “as long as the U.S. actions continue in the region, no oil or gas will be exported.”
