According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), which manages operational activities in the Middle East, more than twenty U.S. Navy warships are currently deployed across the region.
The presence of these naval assets is being monitored through various intelligence channels. Satellite imagery provided visibility on August 1, confirming the location of two American aircraft carriers near the blockade line established by the United States. These vessels are the nuclear-powered, Nimitz-class aircraft carriers, the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS George HW Bush.
Reports indicated that these two carriers were observed traveling in close proximity—less than 100 kilometers apart—just two days before the satellite imaging. Both carriers were noted to be operating as part of a larger, integrated strike group. This accompanying force is substantial, comprising approximately 70 fighter and support aircraft.
Furthermore, the group is protected by multiple Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers, which provide necessary air defense capabilities for the deployed assets. The sustained deployment of these military assets underscores the ongoing operational posture of the U.S. Navy in the Middle East.
