Vehicles, weapons, and narcotics were seized – two suspects are believed to have trafficked 300 cannabis sativa plants.

The Kosovo Police, in partnership with the prosecutor and presiding judge, launched a search operation on April 2nd, 2026, at a property in Prizren. This action followed investigations that had led authorities to believe narcotics cultivation, specifically cannabis sativa plants, was taking place within the residence. A Kosovar suspect was immediately taken into custody following the initial search.

Subsequent police actions then expanded to include raids on three more locations throughout Prizren. These continued efforts resulted in the arrest of a second Kosovar suspect. During the searches of these additional sites, a range of equipment associated with narcotics plant cultivation was discovered and subsequently seized.

This included grow lamps, heating apparatus, and sophisticated climate control systems. Furthermore, investigators uncovered diverse electrical transformers and ventilation ducts, all indicative of an organized operation. The recovered items strongly suggest a deliberate effort to cultivate cannabis.

The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities continuing to pursue those involved in the illicit production of narcotics.
