President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia informed Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary regarding what he described as “massive” destruction of infrastructure. The communication occurred following a telephone conversation between the two leaders. Vučić shared details of the notification via Instagram on Sunday, stating that he presented preliminary findings from a joint military and police investigation concerning a threat to the critical gas infrastructure connecting Serbia and Hungary.
Later, Orban confirmed that he had been informed by Vučić about the situation. Orban, who is an ally of Vučić, noted the communication took place over the phone. The investigation is focused on a threat to the gas pipeline linking the two nations.
