The rotavirus vaccine, typically administered at the second and fourth months of life, is currently unavailable. Health institutions report they are anxiously awaiting the vaccine supply, but the Ministry of Health indicates that delivery is not anticipated until May. Family Medicine Centers have completely exhausted their stock of the rotavirus vaccine, which was initially introduced in October 2023. Consequently, infants aged two and four months will be unable to receive timely protection against rotavirus-induced diarrhea. The head of the unit emphasized the gravity of the situation, highlighting the need for immediate action.
