VV in Pristina: LDK and Përmet Rama joined PDK led by Behxhët Ismailit, reluctantly

Vetëvendosje Criticizes Rama-Dem Party Alliance in Pristina

The Vetëvendosje Movement (VV) has responded to recent political developments in Pristina, expressing concerns over the collaboration between Mayor Përparim Rama and the Democratic Party of Kosovo (DPK). In a Facebook post, VV characterized the alliance as a “coalition of officialized” cooperation between the LDK and PDK. The movement stated that this partnership was anticipated following the runoff elections in Pristina.

According to VV, the alliance between Mayor Rama, the LDK, and the DPK was evident from the outset. “The LDK and Përparim Rama joined forces with the PDK of Uran Ismaili. Surprisingly, late.

It was officialized what we knew from the runoff in Pristina,” the post read. VV asserted that this cooperation primarily serves “narrow interests” rather than the benefit of the city of Pristina. “Naturally, again together but not for the good of this city but only for narrow interests,” the statement continued.

The Vetëvendosje Movement’s reaction highlights ongoing political tensions within Pristina, involving key figures like Përparim Rama and the LDK, alongside the DPK.
