The Regional Water Supply Company “Prishtina” has issued an advisory regarding a disruption to the drinking water supply across several key localities. The service interruption is attributed to significant damage sustained by multiple main network pipes within the regional infrastructure. According to the company’s official statement, residents and businesses in Graçanicë, Badovc të Ri, Llapnasellë, Preoc, and a portion of Sushica are currently without adequate water service.
The company detailed the scope of the damage, identifying failures in the primary DN 225 main pipe, as well as damage to three separate segments of the DN 160 pipes within Graçanicë, alongside issues noted in a segment of the DN 90 pipe. In response to the incident, maintenance teams have been immediately deployed to the affected sites and are actively engaged in repair operations to rectify the structural defects. The utility confirmed that these teams are working continuously to restore the integrity of the damaged piping system.
The company stated that the resumption of the regular water supply is contingent upon the successful completion of these necessary repairs. They anticipate that service to the affected areas and the surrounding communities will be fully restored promptly once the remedial work is finalized.
