The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Alliance have jointly called upon the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, to appear before the Parliament to facilitate the constitution of necessary governmental institutions. This demand emerged following a protest organized by the PDK at the Government building. Opposition deputies asserted that the country cannot afford further delays, publicly accusing Kurti of evading his responsibilities regarding the necessary unblocking of key state institutions.
They maintain that immediate action is required to ensure governmental functionality. During the protest, Demokrat Mujota, a PDK assemblyman representing the Shtime Municipality, addressed the public, emphasizing the foundational nature of the state structures. Mujota stated that Kosovo’s institutions were established through the sacrifices of its citizens and, consequently, should not remain obstructed or blocked.
The unified call from the PDK and the Alliance centers on resolving the institutional deadlock. They are urging the executive branch to engage with the legislature to move forward with governance. The opposition parties argue that the continued inability to fully establish and operate all required institutions hinders national progress and stability, framing the matter as an urgent necessity for the country’s immediate functioning.
