The Kosovo police conducted an operation on Friday in the village of Lucka Reka, located within the Zubin Potok municipality. The action was initiated following intelligence provided by local citizens, who reported the presence of illegal weapons and various equipment within an abandoned structure in the area. During the subsequent inspection of the premises, officers discovered and seized a variety of prohibited items.
The confiscated materials included one semi-automatic long gun, a bayonet, and six different types of grenades. In addition to the firearms, the police recovered a substantial quantity of ammunition. The seized ammunition included 392 rounds of 7.62 mm caliber, 123 rounds of 7.9 mm caliber, 15 hunting rounds, 11 long gun rounds, three maneuvering rounds, 18 short gun rounds, and two additional long gun rounds.
Authorities confirmed that the operation successfully intercepted numerous illegal weapons and associated ammunition supplies. Following the seizure, the case details have been formally relayed to the Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation and appropriate legal action. The police stated that the operation was a direct response to community reports aimed at securing the area against illicit arms trafficking.
