Will the continuation of the constitutional session be held today? The Parliament declares

Albin Kurti, the leader of the Self-Determination Movement (LVV), stated that he could not confirm whether the Kosovo Parliament’s constitutional session would proceed today. Kurti clarified that the authority to decide on the continuation of the session rests with the session’s chairperson. Speaking after a meeting with Lumir Abdixhik, the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Kurti was questioned about the evening’s schedule.

He replied that further details regarding the continuation would be announced in the coming hours. “I am only the Prime Minister in office and not the chairperson of the constitutional session,” Kurti stated. “The constitutional session of the Parliament commenced yesterday, and the chairperson makes the determination regarding its continuation.

I have a demanding schedule with numerous work commitments and meetings.”

Kurti further noted that his responsibilities extend beyond meetings with political figures, encompassing his routine governmental duties. His comments emphasized the separation of roles, clarifying that while he is the head of government, the procedural decisions concerning the parliamentary session fall under the purview of the designated chairperson.
