Will there be an LDK–LVV coalition? Haziri Speaks

Lutfi Haziri, the Deputy Leader of the LDK, addressed recent reports suggesting a potential coalition agreement with Vetëvendosje following the February 14 elections. Haziri explicitly denied any involvement in such discussions, stating that the LDK has neither extended nor accepted any invitations related to forming a coalition. “Let me confirm once again: we have neither received nor offered any invitations,” Haziri stated.

He emphasized that the election results affirm the rights of the leading party and acknowledge the standing of the LDK as a political entity supported by the citizens of the Republic. Furthermore, Haziri confirmed that no meetings have occurred regarding the alleged coalition talks because no invitations were issued. He reiterated the LDK’s established political principle: that the political process necessitates the establishment of normalcy and institutional stability within Kosovo.

The statement from Haziri served to clarify the LDK’s current political stance, distancing the party from speculation regarding alliances with Vetëvendosje. His remarks underscored the LDK’s focus on prerequisites for political stability as the guiding principle for its future actions.
