Kosova B Thermal Power Plant Initiates Regular Maintenance Unit
Energjetike Kosovës (KEK) has announced the commencement of routine 30-day maintenance for unit B2 at the Kosova B Thermal Power Plant, as part of the Annual Energy Balance (ABE) program. The work, undertaken according to established operational planning, focuses on providing necessary technical maintenance and enhancing operational safety. The maintenance process is designed to ensure the stable operation of the unit.
KEK previously highlighted the completion of significant modernization projects for unit B1 at the Kosova B Thermal Power Plant. These projects, initiated in April, include the installation of electrofilters and a DeNOx system, with anticipated completion at the start of December. Following the investment in unit B1, KEK anticipates a considerable improvement in overall operational safety.
The ongoing maintenance of unit B2 further contributes to the plant’s reliability and adherence to established safety protocols. This work is a standard component of KEK’s commitment to maintaining a secure and efficient energy supply within Kosovo.
