Work has begun on the reconstruction of the Arllat–Malishevë regional road.

The reconstruction phase for the R110 Arllat–Malishevë road officially commenced on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. This vital infrastructure project aims to improve connectivity between the municipalities of Drenas and Malisheva. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the acting Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Dimal Basha.

During the event, Prime Minister Kurti highlighted the anticipated benefits of the investment for both the local populace and the commercial sectors within the region. Kurti specified the route, noting that the segment begins in the village of Arllat, traverses through Terpezë e Ulët and Lartë, and continues onward from Malisheva. He emphasized that enhancing the connection between Malisheva and existing regional and national road networks is expected to significantly ease citizen movement and improve overall safety in communications.

According to the statements made at the ceremony, the improved road infrastructure is projected to benefit more than just residents. The enhanced accessibility is anticipated to provide substantial advantages to local businesses operating in the area. The scope of this reconstruction effort underscores the government’s commitment to upgrading key transport links to support economic activity and improve daily life for the communities served by the R110 corridor.
