Zemaj calls on Abdixhiku to dissolve the Extraordinary Parliament: It is not the responsibility of the LDK to form institutions

Armend Zemaj, a deputy representing the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has publicly called upon the party’s leader to convene an Extraordinary Assembly and initiate internal elections. According to Zemaj, taking this step is crucial for establishing a foundation for the LDK’s continued success in the future. Speaking to Debat Plus, Zemaj emphasized the need for internal party restructuring, asserting that the process of forming state institutions following elections is a distinct matter that should not be used to justify unresolved internal party issues.

He stated, “My most sincere call to the LDK leader is for him to sit down, convene the Extraordinary Assembly, and declare extraordinary elections. We are paving the way for the LDK’s successes.”

The deputy further argued that assigning blame for the lack of institutional development to external entities is inaccurate. Zemaj maintained that the responsibility for the consolidation and strengthening of the party structure rests primarily with the LDK itself.

His remarks underscore a call for internal accountability and immediate action within the party ranks to address what he views as internal deficiencies, separate from the broader political challenges facing Kosovo.
