Zemaj: I invite VV to come and constitute the Parliament; the invitation for tomorrow’s session is unacceptable and legally flawed

LDK Deputy Armend Zemaj has publicly criticized the Vetëvendosje Movement (VV) for calling for a parliamentary session on the following day, asserting that the invitation is both unacceptable and legally incorrect. In a statement circulated via the Parliament’s video platform, Zemaj addressed the matter, emphasizing the constitutional procedures surrounding the formation of the new legislature. Zemaj stated that the situation was detrimental to the state and undermined the efforts of those who have contributed to Kosovo’s freedom and independence.

He noted the constitutional deadline for establishing the Parliament, pointing out that only a limited time remained. Despite this, the VV, allegedly through the Speaker of the Parliament, had scheduled a session for the next day. Addressing this scheduling conflict, Zemaj characterized the proposed session as a constitutional violation that negatively impacts the country’s democratic processes.

He urged the VV to reconsider their approach, extending his invitation to the movement to participate in the constitution of the Parliament within the remaining hours.
