The Municipality of Prizren has announced a significant upgrade to essential services in the village of Zhuri. Mayor Shaqir Totaj confirmed that, effective immediately, the community of Zhuri will receive a consistent, 24-hour supply of drinking water. According to statements released by Totaj, the improvement was the result of a major infrastructure project managed by the Directorate of Public Services.
The initiative was designed to resolve long-standing issues concerning the reliable water supply for the residents of Zhuri. The scope of the undertaking was extensive, involving the construction and installation of an entirely new water pipeline network across the area. To ensure comprehensive coverage, the project involved laying approximately 42,500 meters of polyethylene piping.
Furthermore, the effort included the installation of about 1,400 public water taps, enhancing accessibility for the local population. Mayor Totaj highlighted that this infrastructure investment represents a substantial advancement for the community. The successful implementation of this network is expected to provide Zhuri with continuous access to potable water.
