CEC: Final results on June 26, certification on April 6

The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has outlined plans to announce the final results of the early parliamentary elections on Sunday and to formally certify them by April 6. However, KQZ spokesperson Valmir Elezi clarified during a press conference on the afternoon of April 8 that these dates are preliminary schedules. He noted that the actual announcement and certification of the results, among other procedures, are contingent upon the appeals that political parties may submit regarding the electoral process.

Elezi stated that the timeline is subject to the pace and dynamics of activities occurring at the Municipal Counting Centers. Furthermore, he emphasized that a formal appeals process must take place between the announcement of the final results and their subsequent certification. This appeals mechanism involves various institutions, such as the Panel (PZAP).

Therefore, the definitive dates for the finalization of the election outcome are dependent on the progression of these administrative and legal steps. The Commission maintained that the established schedule remains a guide, but the actual timeline could shift based on the volume and nature of the appeals received during the April period.
