Hoxha of Zlipotok was stabbed to death in front of his house by the uncle’s son, details emerge

Violence erupted in the village of Zlipotik in Dragash last night when the local imam, Gazmend Terhovci, was stabbed in front of his residence by a fellow resident. According to Benjamin, the imam’s nephew, the altercation stemmed from a prolonged dispute that has reportedly lasted for eighteen months. Benjamin stated that the underlying tension had been building for a considerable period.

He recounted that the imam had repeatedly reported threats of violence to the police, including threats involving a machine gun directed at the imam’s house. However, he noted that these previous reports had not resulted in any formal police action. The immediate catalyst for the confrontation, according to the nephew, was an issue concerning livestock feed.

The dispute also involves a piece of land described as a lawn, which neither the imam nor the involved parties claim ownership over. The incident highlights escalating neighborhood tensions within the community. While the confrontation culminated in an assault, the stated causes involve a mix of chronic disagreements, property disputes, and alleged threats, according to family sources.

Local authorities were reportedly notified following the stabbing.
