“The child was brought back to life,” police clarify details of the van accident: Only the driver was a victim, seven seriously injured

The State Police released an updated statement concerning a serious accident that took place this Monday on the Durrës–Tirana highway, specifically within the Qafë Kashari section. According to the police report, one male has died as a result of the incident; the deceased has been identified as R. H., aged 36, a resident of Kombinat, Tirana, and was the vehicle’s driver.

The police statement also addressed misinformation circulating following the initial reports. Specifically, authorities clarified the status of a seriously injured child. Initially, the child was reportedly transported to a private hospital without vital signs, but medical teams successfully revived the minor through resuscitation procedures.

Subsequently, the child was transferred to the Trauma Hospital and remains under intensive medical care. Regarding the number of casualties, the police issued a clarification concerning the initial reports of 15 injured individuals. The statement provided updated details on the status of the remaining injured parties involved in the accident.
