The Ministry of Public Security (MPB) has announced the apprehension of an individual involved in a recent traffic accident in Gostivar who had fled the scene. According to the statement, police officers from the Road Traffic Safety Police Station in Gostivar detained a 36-year-old male, identified as F.I., who resides in the village of Vrutok within Gostivar. The detention followed a traffic accident that had previously taken place in Gostivar.
While operating a passenger vehicle, a Volkswagen Caddy bearing Gostivar license plates, the individual was reportedly involved in the incident and subsequently left the scene. Upon locating him, police officers conducted verification checks, which revealed that the driver was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Following directives from the public prosecutor, the driver was detained, and the vehicle associated with the incident was seized.
The MPB confirmed that after completing all necessary documentation regarding the case, appropriate legal measures will be implemented. This action underscores the authorities’ commitment to investigating and addressing instances of traffic violations and reckless behavior within the Gostivar region.
