The EU rejects the UK: The alliance sees no need for a meeting, the conditions for unblocking institutions remain the same

Ardian Gjini, leader of the Alliance, publicly disseminated the formal response delivered to Albin Kurti, the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV). The communication addressed Kurti’s recent invitation for a consultative meeting concerning the establishment of new post-election governmental institutions. Through a social media post, Gjini stated that the Alliance does not view a meeting as necessary, reiterating that the party’s official position remains unaltered.

According to the statement, the Alliance’s readiness to assist in unblocking the process for establishing key institutions is contingent upon a specific prerequisite. The Alliance indicated that its cooperation is conditional upon the Prime Minister’s mandate accepting the six conditions that the AAK had previously put forward. Gjini emphasized the need for transparency with the electorate, noting that the shared document constitutes the Alliance’s official stance conveyed to Mr.

Kurti. He concluded by confirming that the party’s position reflects the stance previously articulated on June 26th. The announcement serves to clarify the diplomatic rift regarding the formation of the government.

While the invitation suggested dialogue to facilitate institutional setup, the Alliance has publicly rejected the meeting, framing its continued involvement solely around the fulfillment of its stipulated preconditions. This public release underscores the Alliance’s firm adherence to its established demands before engaging in any further discussions regarding the structure of the new governing institutions.
