The Kukës Police have concluded an operation codenamed “Zabeli,” which was part of ongoing efforts to prevent and combat the cultivation of narcotic plants. The initiative was undertaken by the services of the Kukës Police Station, utilizing intelligence gathered by the police to target illegal cultivation sites. As a direct result of the operation, authorities discovered and subsequently destroyed 215 suspected narcotic plants identified as Cannabis sativa.
The seizure took place within the Kalis administrative unit, specifically in the territory of the village Gështenjë, at a location designated “Zabeli i Madh.”
The police confirmed that the measures were implemented as part of routine work aimed at deterring and combating the cultivation of narcotics within the region. The successful execution of the operation highlights the ongoing commitment of the Kukës Police to maintaining public safety and enforcing anti-narcotics laws. The destruction of the plants was carried out by burning at the identified site.
