The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK) has released comprehensive data regarding foreign trade in goods for June 2026, indicating growth in both the volume of goods exports and imports. However, the report also highlights an expansion of the overall trade deficit compared to the same period in the previous year. According to the ASK figures, the trade deficit for June 2026 reached €578.3 million.
This figure represents a notable 16.1% increase when compared to the deficit recorded in June 2025, which stood at €498.3 million. Analyzing the balance, the value of goods exports accounted for only 15.0% of total imports during this reporting period. Specific figures show that goods exports totaled €102.0 million, marking a 26.9% year-on-year increase.
Conversely, imports reached €680.3 million, reflecting a 17.6% rise compared to the previous year. While the data confirms robust growth across both sides of the trade ledger, the widening gap between the two streams resulted in the expanded deficit.
