Of these total instances, seven have received laboratory confirmation, while one case is currently classified as possible. According to the data provided by the ishp, the recent surge in activity saw five new cases confirmed during the month of April.
The timeline of symptom onset for these cases spans multiple months, with two patients reporting initial symptoms in March and one in May. The most recently registered case was reported last Tuesday. Geographically, the cases are distributed across local areas, with six instances reported in Skopje and Veles.
Notably, one patient from Skopje has a documented travel history involving Greece; however, the incubation period for this individual included a period of local residence. In terms of demographics, the group of affected individuals comprises seven males and one female. Age distribution shows that six of the patients are over 60 years of age, and two individuals fall within the 50 to 59 age bracket.
