Krushevë, chlorine machine defect caused water problems

Stojance Angellov, the Director of the Department for Protection and Rescue, addressed the recent water usage restrictions in Krushevë. Angellov confirmed that he is currently communicating with local authorities regarding the matter. He explained that the disruption to the water supply was linked to a power outage, which had rendered the water chlorination equipment inoperable for approximately one hour.

According to Angellov, the current situation is stable. He emphasized that the circumstances in Krushevë should not be equated with those reported in Gostivar, noting that no instances of poisoning symptoms have been reported in Krushevë. Speaking on the incident, Angellov stated that immediately after reports surfaced regarding the irregularity of the water in Krushevë, he consulted with the mayor.

During this discussion, he was informed that the chlorination unit had been non-operational for about an hour due to the electricity failure, meaning the water had not received proper chlorination. Consequently, Angellov indicated that the situation in Krushevë is substantially different from other reported cases.
