MPB: 20,976 traffic violations recorded in Macedonia in April

During the period spanning July 1, 2026, through July 31, 2026, routine traffic enforcement operations conducted by police officers across the country’s roadways recorded significant enforcement data, according to the mpb. These controls, executed by internal affairs sectors, resulted in 20,976 issued citations, corresponding to 4,241 recorded violations. The enforcement actions highlighted key areas of concern regarding safe driving practices.

A total of 496 individuals had their driving privileges suspended due to various infractions. The breakdown of these suspensions indicates that the majority of violations were related to operational compliance. Specifically, 373 suspensions were issued for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

Following this, 81 individuals faced suspension for driving under the influence of alcohol. Further infractions contributing to the suspensions included 25 cases involving pre-written suspension requirements, 13 instances of speeding outside residential zones, 3 cases of speeding within residential areas, and one instance of operating a vehicle in a prohibited direction. These figures reflect the continuous efforts of law enforcement to maintain public safety through routine checks.
