As part of the “One Wish For My Street” initiative, EC Ma Ndryshe conducted an engagement activity with the residents of the Tusuz neighborhood in Prizren. The goal of the session was to systematically identify the community’s specific challenges and needs concerning public spaces and overall quality of life. During the organized event, community members from several key streets, including “Xhevat Berisha,” “Selajdin Berisha,” “Bashkim Suka,” and “Ymridin Qengaj,” along with adjacent areas, participated actively.
Utilizing a physical neighborhood map displayed in a public setting, citizens were able to pinpoint areas of concern and propose tangible solutions for environmental and infrastructural improvements. Specific requests were detailed by the residents of Arbanë in Prizren, who emphasized the need for enhanced public safety measures, increased street lighting, and the development of additional green spaces. Among the most frequently cited suggestions from the gathering was the necessity for expanding public recreational amenities.
Key infrastructure improvements requested by the community included the installation of more public sports facilities and the construction of dedicated bicycle paths throughout the neighborhood. This consultative approach aimed to gather direct input from the residents, ensuring that future urban planning efforts are directly aligned with the practical needs and aspirations of the local populace.
