A Ukrainian drone strike reportedly struck a Wildberries company warehouse located in Krasny Bor, Russia, resulting in substantial damage to the facility. This incident occurs as the company is actively expanding its logistical footprint outside of Russian borders. Wildberries is undertaking significant development plans in Kazakhstan, where it is constructing new warehouse facilities with a combined area projected to exceed 260,000 square meters.
According to the Ministry of Trade of Kazakhstan, the expansion includes a warehouse near Almaty, which will cover an area exceeding 100,000 square meters. Additionally, another major facility spanning 160,000 square meters is currently under construction in Astana. These new logistics centers are anticipated to commence operations early next year.
Currently, the company operates by leasing approximately 46,000 square meters of warehouse space within Kazakhstan. The ongoing international expansion suggests a strategic shift in the company’s operational focus. The development of these large-scale warehouse complexes underscores Wildberries’ commitment to strengthening its logistical capabilities across neighboring markets, diversifying its physical infrastructure away from Russia.
