A search operation is currently underway following reports that a person entered the Battle Lake today and has not been seen since emerging from the water. The Kosovo Police spokesperson for Pristina, Enis Pllana, confirmed the incident to Telegrafi. According to Pllana, upon receiving the initial information, various police units and specialized search and rescue teams were immediately mobilized to locate the missing individual.
“Around 1:00 PM, the Police received information that a person was suspected of entering the water at Battle Lake and was not seen exiting,” Pllana stated. He added that the full complement of relevant police resources, alongside dedicated search and rescue units, were deployed to the scene to maximize efforts in finding the person. The ongoing search and rescue operation remains active.
Authorities are coordinating efforts across multiple units to cover the area surrounding the lake. The police have emphasized a coordinated response involving local law enforcement and specialized rescue personnel. The objective of the coordinated effort is to ensure the safe recovery of the person.
