The Municipality of Kamenica and the Regional Water Utility Company, “Hidromorava,” have formally entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) designed to extend household connections to the municipal water utility system for the residents of the village of Hogosht. The agreement was formalized during a meeting attended by several key municipal and utility representatives. Present at the signing were Kadri Rahimaj, the Mayor of the Municipality of Kamenica, and Zotrim Kastrati, the Director of Public Services, Environment, Infrastructure, and Emergencies.

They were accompanied by Sherif Thaqi, the manager of the KRU “Hidromorava” unit in Kamenica, and Ymer Salihu, the Chief Executive Officer of KRU “Hidromorava” Sh.A. in Gjilan. According to official notices from the Municipality of Kamenica, the primary objective of the MoU is to facilitate the installation of reliable household connections.

This initiative will significantly improve access to clean water for the community in Hogosht. The implementation of these connections will be managed through a specialized company that holds the necessary license issued by the Regulatory Authority for Water Services (ARRU). The signing of this memorandum marks a crucial step in expanding the local water infrastructure.

By connecting the village to the existing utility network, the project aims to ensure that residents have consistent and adequate access to potable water services. The collaboration between the municipality and Hidromorava is expected to enhance the overall quality of life and public health standards within the region by modernizing the local water distribution network.
