A person from the Tetovo area was stopped, drove without a license, and caused an accident.

Police authorities in Tetovë announced that on August 9, 2026, officers from the Tetovë District Police Station apprehended an individual identified as R.R., aged 36, in the village of Bozovcë. The detention followed an investigation into a traffic incident that occurred earlier that morning. According to the statement issued by SPB Tetovë, the situation began around 8:35 AM when the individual was involved in a vehicle accident in the village of Shipkovicë, located within the Tetovë region.

The vehicle involved was identified as a Toyota bearing Tetovë license plates. During the initial measures taken by law enforcement following the accident, officers determined that the driver was operating the vehicle without possessing a valid driver’s license. As a result of the violation, the vehicle was confiscated by the authorities.

Following the completion of all necessary documentation pertaining to the incident, charges are slated to be filed against R.R. The charges will be brought under Article 297-a of the Penal Code.
