Abdikshi promises from Rahoveci: 1000 euros salary for teachers

During a rally held in Rahovec, Prime Minister candidate Lumir Abdixhiku, representing the LDK party, issued several statements regarding proposed improvements to labor standards and public sector compensation in Kosovo. Speaking at the event, Abdixhiku stated that a key goal of his platform is to elevate the perceived dignity of labor across various professions. A central commitment detailed by Abdixhiku involves the compensation structure for educators.

He announced a specific proposal setting the monthly salary for teachers at 1,000 euros. Furthermore, he outlined minimum compensation levels for other critical public service roles. These include the police, army personnel, nurses, and firefighters, for whom he stipulated a starting salary of 900 euros per month.

In addition to these specific figures, Abdixhiku reaffirmed the party’s commitment to maintaining the existing 150 coefficient for the pay scales of over 80,000 public employees. He framed these proposed measures as foundational to state stability, asserting that developing a robust and strong state apparatus requires adequately valued and compensated personnel. The announcement positions the enhancement of public sector wages, particularly for teachers, as a cornerstone of his political agenda.
