Accusations against the person who aimed a Kalashnikov at the bus in Malishevë

The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Gjakova has formally filed criminal charges against an individual identified by the initials S.M. The charges brought include “Attempted Aggravated Murder” and “Unauthorized Possession, Control, or Possession of Weapons.”

According to the official indictment, the incident occurred on June 11, 2026, at approximately 12:07 PM in the village of Pagarushë, located within the Municipality of Malisheva. The confrontation reportedly stemmed from a disagreement concerning local bus routes.

The indictment alleges that the defendant, S.M., was armed with an automatic AK-47 type weapon. During the altercation, the defendant allegedly blocked the roadway using a tractor. Subsequently, multiple shots were fired in the direction of a bus operated by V.S., which was carrying several passengers, including F.K.

and H.K. The Prosecutor’s Office report specifies that the projectiles struck several parts of the bus, thereby creating an immediate danger to the lives of the occupants. While the incident was highly volatile, authorities confirmed that, despite the direct hits, no injuries were sustained by any passengers or crew members aboard the bus.

The filing of these charges initiates the formal legal proceedings based on the alleged criminal acts.
