Louis J. Crishock has officially assumed the role of High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina. His assumption of duty was formalized today during a handover ceremony conducted by the head of the Office of the High Representative (OHR), Christian Schmidt.
This transition marks the commencement of Crishock’s mandate to lead the OHR, as reported by klix.ba. Upon taking office, the new representative expressed appreciation for the confidence placed in him by the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) Board. Crishock stated, “I am honored by the trust given to me by the Peace Implementation Council Board.
I will implement this mandate in accordance with the General Framework Agreement for Peace and the competencies entrusted to the High Representatives.”
Addressing the key areas of focus, the representative outlined his commitment to upholding the established frameworks governing Bosnia and Herzegovina. His tenure will operate under the guidelines set forth by the General Framework Agreement for Peace, emphasizing adherence to the competencies assigned to the High Representative office.
