At least 3,433 killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon since March 2, says the Ministry of Health

According to an update released by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 3,433 individuals have been killed and 10,395 injured in Israeli attacks within Lebanon since March 2. The ministry reported that in the preceding 24 hours alone, at least 21 fatalities were recorded. The health ministry noted that its casualty figures do not differentiate between civilians and fighters.

However, the ministry did provide a breakdown of the deceased from Saturday, stating that at least 240 of the dead were children, 326 were women, and 127 were healthcare workers. Contextually, a US-mediated ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon commenced at midnight on April 17. Separately, a maritime monitor reported that a vessel was struck by an “unidentified” projectile in the North Governorate.

The report detailing the total number of people killed by Israeli attacks in the country since March 2 appears to conclude abruptly following this mention of the projectile strike. These figures represent the data compiled and reported by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
