The Acting Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Dimal Basha, conducted an inspection of several key infrastructure sites following recent heavy rainfall. During his visit, Basha assessed the damage sustained by the Prekoc–Marec road segment and monitored the ongoing rehabilitation efforts on the Prekoc–Marec–Krilevë road (R123a). Basha reported that the inspection included an evaluation of the remediation processes underway across the damaged road network.
He noted that the rehabilitation work on the R123a was actively progressing. In addition to inspecting the damaged roadway, the minister addressed the severe impact of the recent floods in the village of Dardani within the Ferizaj area. Regarding the necessary repairs in that region, Basha provided details on the scope of the required project.
He specified that the project in question covers a length of 16 kilometers and has an allocated value of 3.1 million euros. The site visit allowed the minister to personally observe the current state of the infrastructure. The focus remained on assessing the structural integrity of the local roads, ensuring that necessary repairs are executed efficiently to restore connectivity.
The inspections underscore the ongoing commitment to repairing damages caused by adverse weather events across the region’s vital transport routes.
