BDI: We demand the immediate resignation of Bilall Kasami, not the dissolution of the Tetovo communal council

The Democratic Union for Integration (BDI) has issued a statement criticizing the recent policies of Tetovo Mayor, Bilall Kasami. The organization contends that Kasami has repeatedly demonstrated political and institutional shortcomings in his role as mayor of Tetovo. According to the BDI communication, Kasami has allegedly failed to adequately address the problems facing the municipality.

The group suggests that his current focus on theories regarding new elections for the Tetovo Municipal Council is an attempt to obscure these perceived failures. The BDI’s reaction was highly critical, detailing Kasami’s political affiliations. The statement noted his past participation in ceremonies honoring Josip Broz Tito and his involvement with the pre-election “Mozheme” coalition.

Furthermore, the BDI criticized his current membership in a government structure that, in their view, lacks sufficient legitimacy. The union asserted that Kasami’s political incapacity has been evident to the public on multiple occasions. They cited instances where, for example, the Prime Minister publicly curtailed his remarks, indicating a pattern of perceived inadequacy in his leadership concerning the affairs of Tetovo.
