Kosovo police have issued a citation to a driver operating a vehicle for excessive speed in the municipality of Ferizaj. The incident occurred in the village of Prelez i Muhaxherëve, where enforcement personnel conducted routine checks on the main road. According to the Ferizaj Regional Police, the Road Communication unit intercepted a BMW 318, bearing foreign license plates, at approximately 5:00 AM.

During the inspection, officers determined that the driver, identified by the initials H.S. (37), was traveling at a speed of 111 km/h. This reading was taken in a section of the road where the legally mandated speed limit is 50 km/h.

The precise measurement of the excessive speed was conducted using a laser radar device. For this documented violation of traffic regulations, the driver was fined 300 euros. In addition to the monetary penalty, the individual received three negative points and a three-month suspension from operating a motor vehicle.

The Ferizaj Regional Police confirmed that this action is part of an ongoing commitment to public safety. Authorities stated that they plan to maintain and increase the frequency of their checks and activities across the region to ensure adherence to established speed limits and safe driving practices on all local roads.
