CEC certifies the results of the early elections of July 7, Alliance with two changes to the list of deputies

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Kreshnik Radoniqi, has stated that the CEC has no further obligations concerning decisions issued by the Supreme Court, as all submitted appeals have been rejected. Furthermore, Radoniqi reported that the Electoral Panel for Appeals and Complaints (EPAC) has confirmed that there are no remaining appeals currently under review by the body. In addition to addressing legal matters, the CEC announced procedural updates regarding the parliamentary representation of the Alliance.

During the day, the CEC received official notifications via email from two candidates associated with the Alliance, Ardian Gjini and Daut Haradinaj. These communications confirmed their voluntary withdrawal from accepting the mandate of deputy. Consequently, these withdrawals necessitate adjustments to the official list of Alliance deputies.

To fill these vacant positions, Bekë Berisha will assume the mandate previously held by Ardian Gjini, and Burim Ramadani will take over the role vacated by Daut Haradinaj. These administrative updates follow the certification of the results from the recent early elections. The CEC’s declaration regarding the closure of the appeal process and the subsequent restructuring of the Alliance’s parliamentary contingent provide clarity on the final composition of the legislative body, concluding the formal review process for the election cycle.
