A significant fire broke out at a residential building located on “Isa Kastrati” street in Pristina, resulting in multiple injuries. Emergency services responded to the scene, treating several individuals affected by the blaze. According to reports from the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, one child was among the burn victims.
Naser Syla, Director of the Emergency Department, confirmed that the child’s condition is currently stable. He stated that the child received initial treatment at the Emergency Center and remains under observation before being transferred to the Plastic Surgery Clinic for continued care. In addition to the child, three other people required immediate medical assistance following the incident.
Furthermore, officials noted that another resident sustained injuries, and five firefighters also suffered minor injuries while actively working to suppress the fire. Lulzim Fushtica, the Director of Security and Emergency, provided details regarding the scope of the emergency response. The Kosovo Police confirmed the incident details, managing the aftermath of the large-scale fire.
Medical personnel continue to monitor all patients to ensure comprehensive care following the incident. The focus remains on the recovery of all those affected by the blaze.
